Cancellation and refunds

Monthly Plus

You can cancel online at any time from Membership and billing. Cancellation prevents the next monthly renewal and access normally continues until the end of the current paid period. There is no cancellation fee.

If you switch to a Season Pass, Season Pass access begins immediately after successful payment and the monthly renewal is stopped automatically. The unused part of the current monthly period is not ordinarily refunded or credited for a voluntary change of plan.

Season Pass

A Season Pass is a fixed-term, one-payment access product. It ends after 30 April 2027 and does not renew automatically. A change-of-mind refund is not ordinarily available after Plus features have been used. River Check will consider a prompt request where a pass was purchased accidentally or more than once.

Billing mistakes and service problems

We will investigate and correct a duplicate, unauthorised or incorrect River Check charge. If River Check does not provide a material part of a paid service, the appropriate remedy may include restoring the service, extending access, providing a credit or issuing a full or partial refund, depending on the circumstances and applicable law.

Services supplied to New Zealand consumers remain subject to the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986. This policy does not remove any right to a remedy that applies under those laws.

How refunds are paid

An approved refund is returned through Stripe to the original payment method where possible. Stripe and the customer's bank control how long the credit takes to appear. River Check will confirm when it has submitted the refund.

How to request help
